Terms of Service
These are the terms we work under. They exist so both sides know what was agreed before anyone picks up a brush — not to give us an exit. Nothing here removes the rights you have under Australian Consumer Law, and section 11 says so in the clearest terms we could write.
1. Who you are dealing with
Integral Group Services, ABN 70 833 121 660, based in Hurstville NSW, trading as the painting and handyman business at handyman.inducargroup.com. In these terms "we" and "us" means that business; "you" means the person or organisation who accepts a quote.
We are not a licensed building contractor. We do not hold an NSW contractor licence and we do not claim one. That shapes what we will and will not take on — see section 3.
2. Quotes
- Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
- A quote given from photos or a description is our honest estimate from what we were shown. If the job on site is materially different from what we were shown, section 6 applies — we re-quote, we do not silently bill more.
- A quote is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.
- Prices shown on the website are starting rates. They are the floor for a straightforward job of that type, not a fixed price for every job of that type.
- The quote states whether materials are included. If it does not say so, they are not.
3. Work we do not undertake
We will decline, or refer to a licensed trade, any work that requires a licence we do not hold. In NSW that includes:
- Electrical work.
- Plumbing, drainage and gasfitting.
- Structural work, and anything affecting the building's structure.
- Asbestos removal, and any work disturbing material we suspect contains asbestos.
- Residential building work where the combined labour and materials exceed the NSW licensing threshold.
If we find any of this once we are on site, we stop that part of the job and tell you. We would rather lose the work than do it unlicensed.
4. Booking and access
- A booking is confirmed when we confirm the date in writing — SMS, WhatsApp or email all count.
- You are responsible for arranging access: keys, building access, lift bookings, loading dock times and strata approvals where the building requires them.
- Tell us about paid parking, permit zones or difficult access before we quote. It changes the price, and it is far better handled in the quote than as a surprise on the invoice.
- If we cannot get access at the agreed time and cannot reach you, we wait 30 minutes at no charge. Beyond that the visit is treated as a late cancellation under section 8.
- The work area needs to be reasonably clear. If we have to move significant furniture or contents that were not in the scope, that is a variation under section 6.
5. Payment
- Payment is due on completion unless the quote sets out different terms.
- For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit toward materials. If so, it is stated in the quote before you accept, never afterwards.
- We do not take payment through this website.
- Day rates cover the hours stated. Work beyond them is agreed with you first.
6. Variations and hidden damage
Painting and repair work uncovers things. Water damage behind a wall, failed previous patching, mould, surfaces that will not hold paint without more preparation than anyone could see.
When that happens we stop, tell you what we found, and give you a price for the extra work before doing it. You can say no. We do not carry out additional work and add it to the invoice on the basis that it obviously needed doing.
7. Materials and colour
- Where you supply the paint or materials, we cannot guarantee coverage or finish achieved with them.
- Colour matching to existing paint is done as closely as we can, but an exact match to aged paint is not always achievable — sunlight, age and the original batch all move the colour. Where an exact match matters, the reliable answer is painting the full wall or the full room, and we will say so at quote stage.
- Touch-ups on a wall painted years ago can remain visible in certain light. We will tell you when we expect that before starting, not after.
8. Cancellations
- More than 24 hours' notice — no charge, and no hard feelings.
- Less than 24 hours, or no access on the day — we may charge a call-out fee to cover the reserved slot and travel. If we do, the amount was stated in your quote.
- If we cancel — we tell you as early as we can, we charge nothing, and where we caused you a cost we deal with it rather than pointing at this clause.
9. Our workmanship guarantee
We stand behind the work we do. If our workmanship fails within 12 months of completion — paint lifting or peeling from a surface we prepared, patching that cracks or shrinks back, a finish that was not done to the standard agreed — we come back and fix it at no charge.
What the guarantee does not cover, stated plainly so it is not a surprise later:
- Damage caused after we left — impact, moving furniture, or normal wear.
- Failure caused by an underlying building fault we identified and you asked us to paint over anyway, where we recorded that in writing.
- Materials you supplied.
- Work altered or repaired by someone else after us.
To claim: contact us on 0424 310 351 or andres@inducargroup.com with a photo. We will arrange a time to look at it. There is no form to fill in and no deadline to catch you out inside the 12 months.
10. Insurance
We carry public liability insurance. If we damage your property in the course of the work, tell us straight away and we will deal with it — through the insurer where the claim warrants it, and directly where that is faster for you.
11. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Among them: services must be provided with due care and skill, must be fit for the purpose you told us about, and must be supplied within a reasonable time.
If a service fails to meet one of those guarantees you are entitled to a remedy — and for a major failure, you may cancel and seek a refund or compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss. Our workmanship guarantee in section 9 is in addition to those rights, not instead of them. Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies them, and if anything here is ever read as trying to, the law wins and that part does not apply.
12. Complaints
Tell us first — most things are fixable in a phone call, and we would rather hear it from you than read it in a review. If we cannot resolve it between us, NSW Fair Trading offers free dispute resolution for consumers at fairtrading.nsw.gov.au.
13. Privacy
How we handle your information, including the photos you send us, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, which is where the work is performed and where the business operates.
